A ban on taking electronic devices such as laptops onto aircraft cabins on flights from Turkey to United States of America has been lifted. United States on March 10, 2017 banned electronic devices that are larger than mobile phones from cabins on direct flights to the country (U.S) from 10 airports in eight countries (Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Turkey) in order to address the fear of concealing bombs in electronic devices. The ban was lifted after new security measures announced by the U.S. last week were implemented.
