Imo state would have been a great state if governor Rochas Okorocha had managed it properly just like every other state governor in Nigeria who came to power to enrich themselves. Recently governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state stated that his state (Imo state) is the fastest growing state in Nigeria. How he came to such conclusion is something to laugh about. This is a man during his election campaign made promises to the people of his state but could not be able to fulfill even one tenth of them. Imo state Seniors (Pensioners) up till now are still being owed their monthly allowances likewise Imo state workers. What is development if the people of your state are not well care for? First, before making such claims start with the people’s welfare, pay them their salaries and allowances. When this aspect is properly done, then everyone would understand you. Again if you say Imo state is the only state in Nigeria that has not borrowed any money from anywhere that is fine, normally you do not need to borrow anything from anywhere to rebuild your state because the federal allocation and the internally generated revenue from your state should be more than enough to implement your programs if there is honesty and fair play in your agenda for the people of Imo state. Other state governors who truly want to work should have been able to do so too but unfortunately most of what they receive from the federal government and the ones generated internally within their various states are being shared by those corrupt governors leaving the people of their states to suffer hardships which is bad. For governor Rochas Okorocha to gain the recognition he is laying claims to that Imo state is the fastest growing state in Nigeria, he should step up action for everyone in the country (Nigeria) to see because majority of those Viewers Corner News correspondent spoke with in Imo state during a working tour in the state said that nothing so good is really happening in Imo state as governor Rochas Okorocha claimed. We (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to governor Rochas Okorocha to please create infrastructures for the people of the state (Imo state) because things generally are hard for them. Pay workers their salaries and also the Imo state Seniors (Pensioners) because it is their right, they need it now at their old age and not when they are gone.
