When ex-governor Godswill Akpabio now a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria built the Akwa-Ibom hospital, he had foresight which in our opinion was to end the rush of the rich individuals in the country (Nigeria) to abroad for medical treatment and also to serve the Nigerian public which was nice, but since he (ex-governor Godswill Akpabio) is no longer the state governor, everything about the hospital has been thrown into the trash. Viewers Corner News correspondent who visited the Akwa-Ibom hospital in Nigeria learned that the hospital was built in a massive form based on his findings. He also found out that over 14 billion Naira was spent on that hospital and most workers there in the past were foreigners with skills but now they have gone because the hospital can not be funded. Honestly this is a sad and touching story. A country is said to be great because of how it handles her infrastructures built for the services of mankind and so on. This hospital which should have been funded even though the governor who built it is no longer there, at least the next governor who took over from him should have continued the good work of his predecessor but that was not done and now the billions of Naira spent on that facility is wasted which is bad. However the main reason for not funding the Akwa-Ibom hospital in Nigeria was not made available to Viewers Corner News correspondent because those who would have answered questions from our correspondent were not available to do so but on a serious note, we (Viewers Corner News team) urge the Akwa-Ibom state government to kindly look into this issue and make sure that adequate fund is made available for the hospital to continue its operation.
