WHAT HAS THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY OF NIGERIA BEEN ABLE TO ACHIEVE SINCE PRESIDENT BUHARI CAME TO OFFICE AND APPOINTED DR. OGBONNAYA ONU AS THE MINSTER IN CHARGE OF THAT MINISTRY?

When president Buhari came to power and appointed Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu as the Minister of Science and Technology, lots of people were pleased believing that the ministry under Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu would be creative as to moving Nigeria forward through technological advancement but three years is gone and nothing tangible has been recorded or observed coming from the ministry of Science and Technology and huge sum of money is being budgeted on yearly basis for the ministry. On that note, we would want to remind Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu and his ministry that technological advancement is what Nigeria needs at this point in time in order to move the country forward. Technology is the driving force which can bring Nigeria out and put her on the world stage. It is very unfortunate that Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu who is the minister of Science and Technology has fallen short of what is required of him and his ministry. Based on that, we (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on president Buhari to kindly review the activities of his ministers and those who are dormant should not be carried along anymore after the election come 2019.
Nigeria has come a long way and those with digital knowledge should be appointed to get things done the right way which can only be achieved if sentiment is removed when making appointments. Let the truth be told at all times which would save and take Nigeria to the next level.
