SOUTH AND NORTH KOREA PLAN TO DESTROY 22 FRONT-LINE GUARD POSTS BY THE END OF NOVEMBER.

Viewers Corner News correspondent learned that North and South Korean militaries had meeting on Friday, 26 October 2018 at the border village of Panmunjom (North Korea) where they discussed the steps to use in implementing a wide-ranging military agreement signed in September to reduce tensions. According to the information, the two countries agreed to completely withdraw the personnel, firearms and equipment and also destroy the 22 guard posts by the end of November. They will jointly verify the results in December. Also in the meeting, the Koreans agreed to jointly conduct a survey of a 70-kilometer long waterway near their western border where there will be free movement for both countries civilian vessels. These military agreements will reduce border tensions and create trust between the two countries which will help in U.S.-led negotiations on denuclearizing North Korea.
