Most African leaders do not know the meaning of democracy. They came to power believing that the seat belongs to them and their family alone which we (Viewers Corner News team) are here to educate them. Democracy is government of the people and such system has a time frame. No matter how good you may be in the job, there is always someone out there who may be better than you, who may continue from where you stopped by following your legacy if it is good enough to emulate but in the continent of Africa, it is the opposite. An African president gets into office by manipulating the people of his country into believing that he or she is going to use the available resources of the country to create infrastructures that would benefit his people instead the leader turns around to steal the wealth of the country and made it his own private property.
With this process, African leaders undermine the principles of democracy by permanently installing themselves in office and when the people of the country raise alarm, the president in question begins to kill them. This little description in this article is exactly what is happening in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at the moment. President Joseph Kabila has refused to conduct election in his country (Democratic Republic Congo) as the constitution requires. His tenure of office has long been overdue but he has refused to leave office and as a result of that, lots of people in the country (DRC) who were protesting against him to step down has been killed and those alive continue with the protest because they believe that president Joseph Kabila can not kill all of them at a time. The struggle continues and there is no going back, these were the words some protesters in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) told our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent.
Again since Joseph Kabila’s tenure of office expired, the country (DRC) has not known peace, killings of innocent human beings are everywhere in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) which is bad and the African Union (AU) sit on the fence watching innocent people being killed without calling president Joseph Kabila to order. On this note, we (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on the international community to urgently come to the aid of the people of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) by placing sanction against president Joseph Kabila and his dictatorship government. The International community should also put pressure on president Joseph Kabila to step down from power because he has outstayed his usefulness in office. Another important fact which president Joseph Kabila should have in his mind is this; no matter how long it takes, you must step down some day and all the atrocities which he committed against the people of his country shall come to hurt him and when that time comes no one would assist him.
Right now president Joseph Kabila of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has made himself a candidate of war crime which awaits him when he steps down from power.
Definitely president Joseph Kabila can not escape justice, he has lots of blood in his hands and should be prosecuted.
