Information reaching Viewers Corner News revealed that the foreign minister of Brazil (Jose Serra) has resigned. We also gathered that health issues were part of the reasons for his decision, he is 74 years old and has contributed greatly to the development of his country (Brazil). Our reason for reporting this news at this point is to let the third world countries understand that leaders should not keep hanging on to power even when they are not useful anymore. This attitude is so rampant in the continent of Africa and has brought poverty and pains to various countries within the continent where leaders have refused to step down even when they know that they have outstayed their usefulness in power as leaders. Again we should not allow selfishness, greed and corruption to take almost every part of our system. We should always consider the welfare of those people that we are leading, we should also know when to leave, most especially when things are not moving in the right direction instead of staying in power till death. Now look at the foreign minister of Brazil who just resigned showing that it is time for him to go but if it were in some countries, such man in that position will never step down. Even though he has health issues, he would prefer to remain in power till death. We have seen such attitude in most countries of the world where leaders do not want to step down even if their services are no longer needed, such attitude is capable of bringing a country backward and the end result would be poverty for the people of the country which is bad.
